In the district of Kadachira, Kannur, Kerala, a road accident involving two buses took place early this morning on July 22, 2025. The incident resulted in approximately 25 passengers suffering injuries. As per the latest updates from the KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation), all injured individuals have been transferred to nearby hospitals for immediate medical attention.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on the busy national highway connecting Kadachira with neighboring districts. The cause of the accident is yet to be officially confirmed, and investigations are ongoing. Officials from the Kerala Police and the KSRTC have confirmed that the collision occurred when one bus attempted to overtake another, leading to a chain reaction involving several vehicles on the road.

This unfortunate incident comes at a time when the state of Kerala is garnering attention for other reasons as well. In political circles, the region has been buzzing with activity following the recent announcement of a series of development projects aimed at bolstering the state’s economy and infrastructure. Meanwhile, in cultural circles, “The Hindu On Books” section of The Hindu newspaper offers an array of book reviews, excerpts, new titles, and features on this specific day, July 22, 2025.

As the situation unfolds, authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution while traveling on the affected stretch of highway, as measures have been put in place to ensure safety for all road users. More details will be provided as they become available.
