Kalpetta, Kerala – In a commendable display of diligence and efficiency, Booth Level Officer (BLO) Pushpathoor Vinod Kumar has successfully completed all Summary Revision (SIR) procedures for his booth’s 820 voters in just 12 days. This impressive feat places him as the first BLO in Kerala to achieve a 100% completion rate, breaking previous records and setting a new benchmark for BLO performance in the state.
The SIR procedures are intensive revisions of the electoral roll that take place every five years. As part of these procedures, BLOs are responsible for ensuring that their booth’s voter data is accurate, up-to-date, and free from duplicates or erroneous entries.
Vinod Kumar, who hails from Wayanad district’s Padinjarathara AUP School, has managed to complete the SIR procedures for his booth ahead of schedule. During this process, he meticulously categorized data such as the number of voters from the year 2002, providing a historical perspective on the electoral roll of his constituency.
The achievement comes amidst ongoing discussions about the workload and challenges faced by BLOs during the SIR procedures. Vinod’s success serves as a testament to his dedication and commitment towards his role in ensuring fair and transparent elections.
As the electoral roll revision continues across Kerala, Vinod Kumar’s performance offers a shining example of what can be achieved with diligence, organization, and a strong commitment to public service. The Election Commission of India has expressed its appreciation for his efforts and congratulated him on this significant accomplishment.
