In Kochi, SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan faced a barrage of criticism on Sunday following his remarks suggesting that the growing population of the Muslim community was being used to assert dominance over Kerala’s administration. Despite the backlash, an unyielding Natesan vowed to continue advocating for social justice, stating, “I will continue to speak for social justice, even if Kanthapuram (A P Aboobacker Musliyar) throws a spear at me.”
The Leader of Opposition, V D Satheesan, was among the critics who strongly condemned Natesan’s remarks. According to Satheesan, the comments made by the SNDP Yogam leader were divisive and contradictory to the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru.
The controversy surrounding Natesan’s statements has escalated after he alleged that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was behind the controversial remarks he made about the Muslim community. The Indian Union Muslim League, a significant political organization in Kerala, has expressed concerns over these allegations.
