The Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON), an initiative launched by the NLD administration, has successfully connected 133,158 homes to high-speed internet as of November 2025.

Notably, KFON also provides free internet connections to families below the poverty line, demonstrating a commitment to digital equity within the state’s broader digital inclusion initiative. Meanwhile, Amazon Prime Lite, a leading digital streaming service, has shown interest in partnering with KFON to expand its reach within Kerala. Such collaborations could further enhance the state’s digital landscape and contribute to Kerala’s ongoing digital revolution.
