Shimla, India – In a move aimed at promoting renewable energy and sustainable development, the Indian state of Kerala has announced an initiative to implement solar power solutions in Shimla, a hill station in Himachal Pradesh. The project is slated to begin next month, with THG Publishing Pvt Ltd, a prominent media conglomerate based in Kerala, playing a significant role in the venture.

Speaking about the initiative, an official from the Kerala government stated, “We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and increasing the use of renewable energy sources. Shimla is an ideal location for this project due to its abundant sunlight.”

The project will focus on setting up solar power plants in various locations across Shimla, with a target of generating 50 MW of electricity by 2030. This ambitious goal aligns with the Indian government’s efforts to increase the share of renewable energy in the country’s total power generation capacity.

THG Publishing Pvt Ltd has been roped in to produce a weekly newsletter named “Science For All,” which aims to simplify scientific jargon and make it enjoyable for readers. The publication will cover the project’s progress, the benefits of renewable energy, and its impact on the environment.

In other news related to health, Ramya Kannan, a science writer contributing to “Health Matters” column in Kerala-based publications, discusses ways to achieve good health and maintain it. She emphasizes the importance of regular exercise, balanced diet, and mental wellness for overall health. The column also covers various health-related topics, such as the benefits of yoga, the role of nutrition in preventing diseases, and strategies for managing stress.

Meanwhile, on the political front, both The Wire and The Print report a moderate sentiment towards India, with no significant developments to note. For more updates on these stories and other news from around the world, stay tuned to September 10, 2025e-Paper.
