The Education Department of Kerala has announced the academic schedule for the 2025-26 academic year. This comprehensive plan includes crucial examination and holiday dates for schools across the state.
The Onam examination in state-run schools is scheduled from August 20 to August 27. Following the completion of these first term exams, schools will close for the Onam holidays commencing on August 29 and will reopen after the break.
In terms of major examinations, the Plus Two practical examinations are set to be held from March 5 to March 18, 2026, followed by the model exams from March 22 to March 31, 2026. It is important to note that these dates do not include any holidays or breaks except for weekends.
The annual examinations for all classes will commence on May 2, 2026, and will continue until June 15, 2026. During this period, there will be no holidays or breaks except for the weekends. Additionally, Christmas exams will also be conducted as part of this academic schedule, though specific dates have yet to be announced.
