Thiruvananthapuram, September 11 – The Chief Minister’s Office in Kerala appears to be preparing for a renewed approach towards external media strategy, hinting at possible upcoming elections in the state. This new media strategy seems to focus more on election-centric matters, as suggested by confidential sources.

In an interesting development, a comprehensive job description for a head of media strategy and newsroom has been circulated among select media strategists. This move suggests a serious commitment from the Chief Minister’s Office to overhaul its existing media strategy.

The appointed individual will serve as a key figure in the CM’s media interface, signifying the growing importance of effective communication with the press during election periods. The role will involve crafting and executing strategic media plans, managing the newsroom, and fostering positive relationships with various media outlets.

This move comes a year after a PR crisis that left the state government in an embarrassing situation. Despite this setback, the Chief Minister’s Office is actively seeking external expertise to strengthen its media strategy as it prepares for potential elections.
