Kerala education minister V. Sivankutty announced a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revitalizing the school curriculum in Kerala today. The new approach, which emphasizes experiential learning and adaptive education, is set to revolutionize the educational landscape in the state.

Minister Sivankutty made the announcement during an exclusive interview with our news team, stating, “We are moving towards a future where education must be more than just memorizing facts and regurgitating them for exams. Our children need to learn by doing, and this new approach will enable us to cultivate a generation of innovative thinkers.”

The new curriculum is set to be implemented in phases, with the first phase commencing in the 2025-26 academic year. The focus will be on STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), encouraging students to develop practical skills while fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Parents and Teachers Associations have welcomed the move, expressing their enthusiasm for the progressive step towards a more dynamic educational system. The minister also emphasized that the curriculum would be continually updated to ensure it remains relevant in an ever-evolving world.

As part of the initiative, Kerala is expected to invest heavily in infrastructure and resources to facilitate this innovative approach. Minister Sivankutty closed his statement by expressing optimism about the future, stating, “We are confident that these changes will set our students on a path towards success in the 21st century.”

This story is still developing, and further details regarding the specifics of the new curriculum will be provided as they become available. For now, we invite readers to share their thoughts on this exciting development in Kerala’s education sector.
